Our starting place Bruges, with its picturesque town centre (UNESCO world heritage site) is probably the most beautiful of the historical Flemish cities. Leaving Bruges, we cycle into the Western Flanders region of Belgium, discover the medieval town of Ghent, with its many museums and historic buildings, for instance St Baafs cathedral and the famous Mystic Lamb triptych by painter Jan van Eyck.

Leaving Ghent we head into the beautiful Dutch countryside discovering Middleburg the capital of the Dutch province of Zeeland once a trading city of the Dutch East India Company, travel back through time in the old town centre, Willemstad & Tholen two old fortified towns with lots of history, the old town of Dordrecht, the windmills at Kinderdijk, Schoonhaven the silver town and the old town of Vianen before arriving in Amsterdam a vibrant lively city known for its architecture and art.
